SHINE: Simple Hygiene Is Needed Everyday

SHINE is a youth-led community service initiative founded by Landry Shine, a passionate teen from Illinois. While volunteering at her local food bank, Landry noticed a heartbreaking gap while food was often available, basic hygiene items were not. That moment sparked a mission to bring dignity and confidence to those in need through access to hygiene essentials.

Since its creation, SHINE has distributed hygiene products throughout Illinois and beyond serving families, shelters, schools, and crisis centers. The initiative raises awareness through social media, branded T-shirts and bracelets, and even a children’s book that teaches kids the value of hygiene from a young age.

SHINE is more than a service project; it's a movement rooted in compassion, driven by purpose, and powered by the belief that everyone deserves to SHINE.
